Own Your Algorithm

You should be able to see, shape, and revoke what shapes you.

The systems that decide what you see should be understandable, influenceable, and revocable. That's not a feature — it's the idea every product in this ecosystem is built on, including the ones we haven't built yet.

The principles

What OYA actually means.

Five commitments, each one a constraint on how AlignAlgo can be built — not a slogan.

  • 01 / Explainability

    Understand why

You should be able to understand why something is being shown.

Every ranking or match names its real factors — price, trust signals, fit for the moment — instead of a bare percentage. See every parameter, on every surface.

  • 02 / Correction

    Change what it listens to

You should be able to change what the system listens to.

Loved something by mistake, or just grew out of a taste? Correct the signal directly and the graph updates — it doesn't quietly keep believing the old you forever.

  • 03 / Revocation

    Revoke without ambiguity

You should be able to revoke access without ambiguity.

Turn off a product, or the whole graph, and it's actually off — not paused, not quietly retained "for quality purposes."

  • 04 / Proportion

    High stakes aren't a feed

High-stakes domains should not behave like entertainment feeds.

Coverage, Finance, and Heart don't get engagement-optimized the way Food or Music can — no infinite scroll, no manufactured urgency, on decisions that actually matter.

  • 05 / Honesty

    Uncertainty, labeled

    Uncertainty should be labeled honestly.

A 92% match says what it's 92% confident about — and where the system is guessing, it says so, instead of dressing a guess up as a fact.

What OYA protects against

What this is pushing back on.

Opaque ranking, ad-first optimization, flattened feeds, manipulative funneling, and systems that know your patterns while hiding their own logic.

Most platforms With OYA
Ad-only optimization Ads only on your terms — a dial you hold, never a bid that decides for you.
Opaque ranking See every parameter — every ranking can explain itself, in plain language.
Data extraction without meaningful agency Your graph, exportable — leave any time with everything it learned, intact.
One-size-fits-all feeds High-stakes domains behave differently than entertainment ones, by design.

In your hands

What you control.

  • Preferences — tune what "good" means per surface (price vs. quality vs. speed), any time, not just once at signup.
  • Signals — correct or delete an individual signal your graph learned, not just mute what it outputs.
  • Permissions — grant each Align product only the slice of the graph it actually needs to do its job.
  • Revocation — cut access for one product, or the whole graph, instantly and completely.
  • Visibility — choose what's visible to the people you match with, and what stays private by default.

How it shows up

This is not just a slogan.

OYA shows up as explainable controls, signal correction, provenance labeling, and the ability to move between a standard and an optimized system on purpose — built into the products, not written about them.

Rolling out with each product

In Align

Explainable controls sit next to rankings across the family — "see every parameter" is a UI, not a policy page. Signal correction and full revocation are live wherever those controls have shipped, and roll out to the rest of the nine tools as each one launches.

In development

In Creytix

Creytix is the engine underneath every Align surface. Provenance labeling — human-authored vs. AI-assisted, disclosed rather than hidden — runs through it today. Browsing modes that let you inspect and choose the kind of internet you're getting, instead of accepting one default feed, are in development.

The commitments

Trust commitments.

Change of control

If AlignAlgo is ever acquired, merged, or restructured, these commitments travel with the graph — not just the trademark. A new owner inherits the promise, not a clean slate to quietly drop it.

Transparency, dated

When we sharpen a promise, we say so in public and dated, in place — not a silent edit to a page nobody rereads. See the August 2026 update →

Provenance honesty

AI-generated content and AI-assisted recommendations are always labeled as such. Where a ranking is uncertain, it says so instead of presenting a guess as fact.

Ads only on your terms No pay-to-rank See every parameter Export & leave anytime AI always labeled
